Loose Ends

Lively water and its changes in the summer was the focus in these paintings. I frequently sat on a stone by the creek and painted immersed in the rhythm of the water. At home I listened to James Joyce reading his piece “Anna Livia Plurabelle and her hitherandthithering waters of.…..” It was a poetic infusion. Many of the titles to my artwork are from his writing. The fountain piece installation “Nacken” (from a Swedish myth) is named after a powerful water spirit that can take any shape and form.
